DUI LAW
DUI cases are complicated, involving both criminal and DMV courts, each with its own procedure and rules. In DMV court, for example, you have just 10 days to challenge the suspension of your driver’s license; otherwise, DMV will automatically suspend your license, without a hearing, 30 days after the stop. Requesting a hearing keeps your license valid for longer even if you lose the hearing. Each court imposes separate, different license suspensions. While DMV court concerns only your driving privilege, criminal charges could result in jail time, which could be mandatory with prior convictions. Mr. Hillemeier knows well how to handle DUI cases.
